OPERATION GREEN CROPPING TO SUSTAIN THE ORPHANS AND MOST NEEDY
The Buma Foundation’s project aims to create sustainable green cropping to support orphans and the most vulnerable members of society. The project involves cultivating crops using environmentally friendly and sustainable methods, such as using organic fertilizers and natural pest control techniques.
The foundation is committed to providing support and training to those who are planting these crops, ensuring that they have the knowledge and tools necessary to maintain healthy soil and maximize crop yields. In addition to crop cultivation, the project also provides education and resources to local communities to help them develop sustainable practices for managing their land.
Upon realizing how much we can offer in terms of foodstuffs to the underprivileged, we saw the need to cultivate crops, which will yield a bigger harvest rather than buying foodstuffs, which are increasingly expensive.
Here are green crops we cultivate seasonal to sell and help the orphans. This project commenced in late march 2020 and took us six months as was renewed. (Cultivated in two shifts) on a rented piece of land. So far, negotiations to have lands and seeds are ongoing. This project needs sponsors – We thank the volunteers who opted and sponsored the first shift. With operation green cropping, we are sure of realizing a bountiful harvest every season that will enable us feed the underprivileged and why not sell some of the produce to aid in other areas.
By promoting sustainable green cropping, the Buma Foundation seeks to provide a stable source of food for orphaned and vulnerable children while also helping to reduce the environmental impact of farming. Ultimately, this project has the potential to improve the lives of countless individuals in need while promoting a more sustainable future for our planet.
